Dear followers, readers, peeps or anyone else sitting on the couch pretending to watch TV but surfing and ended up here;
Recently, I met with a local newspaper editor and he was interested in my writing. I did submit a Thanksgiving piece.
They wanted a pic and a bio, so here is the pic I attached. Honestly, I think it’s one of the best I’ve ever taken and was exactly what I was wanting it to look like in my mind. Well, that’s a lie. Because in my mind I’d like to have Tom Cruise’s hair. And his money. But that’s another blog.
I hope that you all are having a good Thanksgiving week. Let us not forget about the less fortunate out there this week while we loosen our belts from turkey, dressing, and pie.
Or the gym!…let us not forget about burning off those calories from the turkey, dressing and pie!!
Hopefully, over the next coming days, I can post a link to my first published writing. Thank you for always supporting and sharing my blog,
#fingerscrossed.
~that’s the best that I can tell about it.

FUNFACT: Tom Cruise and I were born on the EXACT same day.
Congratulations ! Glad to hear of your great Thanksgiving ! Mine was not quite the same as usual as I was in the islands with three cousins that I grew up with but had not seen in 3 and 4 decades. This trip was started last January and culminated the week of Thanksgiving. My children were not happy nor was Travis that I was not here but after 58 years I figured I could miss one. My dressing and giblet gravy was there in my place.
Mark you are such a talented writer I do hope the general public will be able to read your article (as well as see the writer). Guess you are still somewhere in the hospital helping others as there are still those in cardiac rehab doing the same.
May your Christmas be the brightest and happiest ever making memories with that new grand baby and the rest of your family.

Thank you! And the piece did run in a paper in Selmer. I would like to be able to contribute to the Jackson Sun one day. We’ll have to just see how that goes. I’m sure the dressing was good, but there’s nothing like having Linda at the table. 😉 Your presence at the table will be extra special this year as it was missed at Thanksgiving. Merry Christmas to you and yours and thanks for always being a supporter! Mark
